RSTM was founded in the spring of 2008 by two doctors of chiropractic who have more than 20 years combined experience teaching therapeutic massage. This means you receive the benefits of a sound theoretical framework plus instruction from experienced practitioners in the latest bodywork techniques.

Real working experience

In addition to classroom instruction and practice, you can apply your skills to the public at the student-run clinic. The state-of-the-art clinic at RSTM offers privacy and a soothing ambiance. Clients, to whom students give massages at a discounted price, provide evaluations of the massage, so you receive valuable feedback that can help you improve your skills. Plus, you have the opportunity to be involved in the operation of a working massage clinic, so you’ll see what the business of therapeutic massage involves.

What you get when you get with the program

RSTM class size is 10 to 14 students so you get ample instructor attention. You can enroll full-time (week-day mornings) and complete the program in eight months. Or you can enroll part-time (two evenings a week and two Saturdays each month) and finish in one year. Successful completion of the 720-hour program—well over the minimum 500 hours required—qualifies you to seek licensure in Illinois and other states that accept national exam results.
