Recommended Qualifications
To become a teacher, you must receive a degree in Teaching. You can receive your Teaching degree from a college or university that has a Teaching degree program accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Teacher Education Accreditation Council. A teaching degree program will prepare you with the skills, methods, and techniques you need to be an effective educator. Along with teaching methods, you’ll also need to become proficient in the subject you’ll be Teaching. Your Teaching courses may include mathematics, physical science, social science, music, art, literature, and child development.
