Those who are not sure about the degree they wish to pursue in college may choose to register as an "undeclared" or "not sure" student. In this case, you can still work toward completion of the basic courses that are required for all majors while also taking coursework that you are interested in taking. By exploring a variety of different classes, you not only receive a well-rounded education, you also get to learn more about a variety of degree programs. As a result, you are more likely to discover the degree program you are interested in pursuing.

For those who are interested in obtaining a college degree, but who do not want to major in a particular area, pursuing a liberal arts degree is often the best course of action. For those who wish to obtain a degree in a specific area but who are not sure of the degree program they wish to pursue, however, enrolling as undeclared is often a better option.
