Marketing
A marketing manager is responsible for developing and communicating the company brand. Marketing managers typically work in collaboration with product development and sales managers to monitor trends and assist with overseeing product development. They also work with promotion managers and advertising managers in order to determine ways to attract new customers.
In order to become a marketing manager, you need to earn a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Many employers, however, prefer to hire those with a master's degree to fill their management positions. While pursuing a marketing degree, it is a good idea to also take courses in areas such as business law, accounting, statistics and management if the ultimate goal is to become a marketing manager.
A good candidate for becoming a marketing manager is someone who flexible, motivated, and creative. Those who are good at working as part of a team and have a good understanding of people and business are particularly well suited to this career.
