Large and small companies alike all need programmers and if you are reliable and do exceptional work, you will have no problem staying with any certain company for a number of years. Most programmers earn between *$40,000 and $62,000 starting out. Although, it does depend on where you work and the type of work you are doing.

With experience, programmers have reportedly earned over *$135,000 in a given year. If you are developing software, you are going to make more money than if you are programming for a small company’s website.

Offices or labs are pretty standard, typically with a large bank of computers and servers. Working with teams is not uncommon either. The majority of your time will be spent on a computer, and physical office types will vary.
