Your Computer Networking responsibilities will also entail managing and maintaining complex local-area and wide-area networks that transfer vital information over intranet and Internet systems to individual computers within the company. In Computer Networking you’ll also oversee system security to prevent network breaches by hackers or viruses.
Recommended Qualifications
You can launch your Computer Networking career once you’ve completed formal Computer Networking training. Most employers prefer that you obtain a degree in Computer Networking or in a related field. You can attain your Computer Networking degree at an accredited community college, technical institute, career college, vocational school or at a traditional 4 year university. Your Computer Networking degree program will equip you with proficiency in computer fundamentals, Internet Commerce, server administration, network security management, web design, mathematics, statistics, advanced network communications, advanced operating systems and computer programming. *Within 3 to 5 years of beginning, you’ll have completed your program and received your Computer Networking degree.
