Chiropractor
Be a Chiropractor and you can help people improve their health. A Chiropractor uses special techniques and spinal manipulation methods to improve the health of a patient’s spine, back, neck and nervous system without prescribing drugs or surgery.
As a Chiropractor you’ll use precise techniques and cutting edge technology to examine your patient’s spinal column and diagnose their ailment. You’ll use your skills as a Chiropractor to apply direct pressure to the back and spinal column to adjust the spine back into proper alignment. This realignment can reduce any interference in the nervous system, which can expedite healing, reduce pain, and improve the health and wellness of the patient. Your Chiropractor expertise will also enable you to prescribe effective non-medicinal remedies like exercise, relaxation techniques, water therapy, heat, massage and diet.
You can become a Chiropractor by graduating from a Chiropractor degree program at a college or university accredited through the Council on Chiropractor Education. Your Chiropractor education will include 4,200 hours of classroom, lab and hands-on clinical experience, and courses in the human musculoskeletal system, Chiropractor treatment techniques, anatomy, physiology, public health, microbiology, pathology, and biochemistry. You can complete your Chiropractor degree in 36 to 60 months.
You’ll have a rewarding Chiropractor career running your own private Chiropractor practice. Or you can choose to work in a group clinic with other Chiropractors. You can also help train the next generation of Chiropractors by teaching at a college or university Chiropractor department.
