The mission of Ottawa University is to provide liberal arts and professional education in a caring, Christ-centered community of grace which integrates faith, learning and life. The University serves students of traditional age, adult learners and organizations through undergraduate and graduate programs.
Vision

Degrees
Ottawa University offers a wide-range of programs leading to a Bachelors of Arts degree. Not all programs are available at all locations.
Ottawa University offers a variety of graduate programs including Master of Arts degrees in Professional Counseling, Education and Human Resources. OU's MBA degree is also available and includes the option for areas of concentration. Classes are held in 11-week terms with four sessions each year.
In most cases, students may take some or all of their program online. The following programs are available at Ottawa University.
Teacher Certification/Licensure If you hold a baccalaureate or advanced degree from an accredited university and would like to become certified or licensed to teach in Arizona or Kansas schools, Ottawa University offers a teacher certification program for you. The Teacher Certification/Licensure Program provides the necessary training, coursework and expertise needed to acquire a teaching certificate/license in elementary education or secondary education. The program of study prepares the candidate for the state prescribed pre-certification performance tests and a career as a certified teacher.
Teacher Professional Education Program (PEP) The Teacher Professional Education Program (PEP) at Ottawa University is designed for certified elementary and secondary educators interested in career growth. All courses are offered for upper division/graduate level credit. These credits may be used for professional development or certificate renewal.
Master of Arts in Education Ottawa University now offers the Master of Arts in Education in one of four specific areas entirely online. These programs are ideal for educators seeking an advanced degree from an accredited university with a history of innovative practices.
