The California Healing Arts College Curriculum

The school offers two programs at 'Practitioner' and 'Master' levels.

Practitioner

This eight week program is designed exclusively for international students who wish to experience the school and its teaching before deciding whether to progress to the 'Master' level. Class sizes are limited to just eight students, who receive training in the history and theory of massage, basic anatomy and physiology, and the practice of Swedish and other types of massage.

Master

This program goes much further into massage theory and practice, to prepare graduates for certification and licensing and for work in a variety of clinical settings. The course is usually completed in 48 weeks over two semesters, and successful graduates may apply to take the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Exam in Massage Therapy.
